During your visit to the west coast of Ireland, The Periwinkle B&B extends a warm friendly ‘Cead Mile Failte’ to all its guests. The beautiful property is located in a quiet cul-de sac just a few minutes walk from the lively and cultural ‘City of the Tribes’ - Galway City Centre. Your gracious host, Joan O Dea does her utmost to ensure that each of her guests has a memorable time in Galway. She has put together a guide so that visitors to the area can get the most out of their stay.

Approaching Galway from (N6) or (N18) follow directions for Galway on first two roundabouts. On 3rd "Martin" Roundabout take 1st exit for "Galway East". Straight through 4th "Skerritt" Roundabout. Take 1st exit on 5th "French" Roundabout staying left by the water. At the Harbour "T" junction, turn left onto the one way system, cross the bridge beside Jury's Inn and turn left by the water onto Coast Road. Grattan Park is on the right after 2nd set of traffic lights.

Periwinkle B&B is very conveniently located only a 10 minute walk to the city centre and a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to the quaint seaside suburb of Salthill. This bright and cheerful home is a haven for weary travellers seeking to get the most out of their trip to Galway, Connemara and the enchanting and magical west of Ireland.

The breakfast at The Periwinkle is superb. You’ll be spoilt for choice at the selection of breakfast options available. Choose from the renowned full Irish breakfast with all the trimmings, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, delicious scrambled eggs mushrooms, tomato and bacon, poached eggs with tomatoes and mushrooms. French toast and honey as well as pancakes and maple syrup is also available. Of course there’s also a continental breakfast with a choice of cereals, juices and locally sourced fresh fruit, cheeses and home baking.
