The g hotel From the moment you step inside the G you know that you are in a unique and special place, this hotel evokes a true sense of old-fashioned Hollywood glamour and style. Also the hotel's location near the romantic coastline of Galway and a just outside the city centre is ideal. The dark and intimate reception area sets the tone, with black glass walls acting as a frame for a tank of Connemara-bred seahorses and bespoke concierge wall, designed by Philip Treacy. Covered in white Venetian plaster and reminiscent of a seashell, this is a hint of the surprises to come. The public areas of the g on the ground floor extends to over 18,000 sq ft with three individually styled and themed lounges and a restaurant, all linked by a raspberry carpeted corridor.

Location The g hotel is located in Galway, a city bursting with life, energy and vitality. Steeped in history yet with a decidedly forward-thinking attitude, it has earned the reputation of being the unofficial arts capital of Ireland. World leaders in Spa design and product, ESPA has developed the total concept and design of this five star ESPA Spa at the g, working closely with architects and designers Douglas Wallace.
ESPA with the g's twist reflects a relaxed timelessness of contemporary elegance. In keeping with the overall design philosophy developed by Philip Treacy, nothing has been spared in its beautiful design and the superior quality of its finishes. Stone, wood, linen and glass are used in complementary new ways with subtle, warm colours. Mood enhancing lighting is used to calm and comfort, creating a sense of spiritual retreat.
An extensive treatment list is available for both hotel guests and day visitors, using ESPA’s fantastic products. Alternatively, guests may simply reserve time to relax in ESPA at the g's luxurious environment.
ESPA at the g is located on the upper two floors of the hotel and includes a ‘secret’ bamboo garden on the roof. It also has heat treatment rooms, a vitality pool and a glass pavilion.

Design and layout of hotel, ease of movement including lifts, excellent Spa, staff a perfect balance of friendly and efficient. IT connections easy, which is often not the case. Breakfast very good.

Restaurant The g’s restaurant – Riva is very popular with both guests and locals and it’s easy to see why. Dining here you are in for an exceptional culinary and visual experience. The individual décor of the hotel is carried through to the restaurant with the banquettes of purple velvet and jewel coloured Andrew Martin chairs.
The restaurant seats up to 70 and serves contemporary Italian cuisine, along with some International favourites to cater for all tastes.
Bar This decadent bar at the g serves special ‘g hotel’ cocktails along with more familiar favourites. A carpet of a thousands of Red Swarovski crystals cover the bar and make for a glittering and glamorous affair.
