The area offers excellent shopping facilities, numerous bars, cafes, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. Visit Galway Cathedral, the Salmon Weir Bridge, Eyre Square, the historic St Nicholas Church and the City Museum. Every corner has something new to offer. Another alternative is to visit nearby Salthill situated on the shores of beautiful Galway Bay. Galwegians love to walk its extensive Promenade with its magnificent sea views. Around the corner form Seagrove is Salthill Tourist Office where tours depart for Connemara, Cliffs of Moher and the magical Aran Islands. You might even decide to take a boat trip to explore the majestic Lough Corrib or do some fishing.
