The house was originally set on a 1200 acre estate and today it is surrounded by a beautiful mature garden that you can wander around at your leisure. The hotel has its own tennis court and it also has the Library Bar which a perfect place to plan your excursions into the surrounding countryside. The restaurant has an excellent menu with seafood being a speciality. .
Nearby Ross Lake and Lough Corrib offer superb angling opportunities. It's an excellent base for exploring the rugged landscape of Connemara and attractions worth checking out include Kylemore Abbey and Aughnanure Castle. Galway City is not far away either and is home to a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
