Welcome to Ross House, a charming 3 star self-catering apartment located in the heart of the Connemara countryside near Moyard in County Galway.

The upper storey of the west-wing of Ross House is a well-designed modern apartment with stunning views overlooking Fahy Bay. The 1000sq foot apartment has an open plan kitchen/sitting/dining room and two bedrooms. The apartment is completely self contained with a separate entrance, parking and garden. Dowstairs of the house is non residential and is used only as a library and study for the owner.

A Brief History
At the start of the nineteenth century the British built a series of Coastguard Stations throughout the west of Ireland, one of these was Ross Point. Later part of this development was re-designed as a private residence and is now known as Ross House.

Directions

Driving from Clifden turn off towards the Westport Road and then onto Ballinakill Bay towards Ross Point.

Rooms

There are two bedrooms in this apartment, the main bedroom has a choice of one super king-size bed or two divan beds, from this room there are spectacular views over the sea.

The second room is a double. The main bathroom has bath and shower facilities.

Facilities

There is an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen comes fully fitted with gas cooker, microwave, tumble dryer, washing machine to mention a few.

On the ground floor is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and iron/ironing board. Outside is a small private garden with seating arrangements.

Electricity is extra and is metered.

Excursions to the offshore islands of Inisboffin (by ferry from Cleggan-6km_ and Omney Island (across the strand at low tide) are popular. Boat trips are available on Killary Harbour and Bailinakill Harbour.

Local Area

The Connemara countryside is a naturalist paradise featuring a wide variety of flora, seabirds and many native mammals including foxes, badgers and deer and it’s only a few minutes down the road.

Golfers will be delighted with a Championship Links in Aillebrack just 45 minutes away. Angling and sea fishing can be found in abundance locally. Why not take a ferry from Cleggan to the offshore island of Inisboffin. Clifden is the nearest town with amenities including Leisure Centre, supermarkets, Internet cafes, bars and restaurants.
