With a fantastic location close to Galway Bay and only 10 minutes from Galway city centre, Roncalli House is a real gem. This family run bed and breakfast is Frommer and Birbaum recommended and was previously a Galtee Breakfast Award winner.

From Tourist Office follow signs for Salthill over the Wolf - Tone bridge through three lights onto Y junction, turn left house on right off the 336.

Description

Roncalli house is a beautifully located house near the shopping center of Galway. You are a short walk to the Galway bay and to Quay street. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Carmel was very helpful in getting me picked up by the tour bus so that I could see more of the country.

Hospitality and location to both Galway & Salthill was excellent however we stayed in Bedroom 3 which was too small for a double & a single bed with virtually no wardrobe space and the en-suite was just TOO SMALL and could be dangerous to anyone who was not very agile as you had to be careful not to bang your head on wash basin while sitting on toilet.
