Take the N84 from Galway (Headford Road) for 21km. At the crossroads, just before the Texaco Petrol Station, turn left at the shrine. After 300m, turn left. After a further 1 km bear right at the 'Y' junction. Continue for a further 1km and the cottage will be on the left just before the lake. From Headford Town turn right, after 3km at the crossroads just after the Texaco Petrol Station, continue as above after shrine. Parking and Vehicle access is at the rear of the cottage.
The thatched cottage is over 150 years old and is located in a quite cul-de-sac close to all amenities. Plum Cottage has been recently restored while still retaining all its original character. There are two bedrooms in the home with the capacity to sleep four at ease with four single beds. The owner lives on the grounds of the accommodation, which comes in very useful when finding out the best spots to visit in the area.
While staying at Plum Cottage you are within easy access of all the best tourist attractions. Needless to say if you like fishing then Lough Corrib is only 50 metres from the front door. There are spectacular views of the Connemara Mountains. The cottage is only 25 km from Galway City where you can explore the sights and sounds of the wonderful and vibrant city. No matter what your reason for visiting Galway, Plum Cottage is a great home away from home. Owner lives on grounds. The self catering property is only 5km from Headford town which has a wide range of shops and restaurants.

Plum Cottage is so beautiful, cosy, nice garden, sweet home, we have been like at home, in a warm mood. The owners are very friendly, and also so discreet. We'd recommand this house without any problem.
