Enjoy the friendly pet donkeys as they graze in the sunshine and relax in the surrounding pastures. The property has the added facility of ample parking. There is also a babysitting service available, which allows you to have precious time together.
Directions
From Oranmore village:
Take the Dublin Rd (N6) for 4.0 Km / 2.5 miles to Derrydonnell cross roads. Turn left onto the Athenry Rd. /R348 (opposite Petrol Service Station) and travel for 1.6 Km/one mile. The cottages are on the left-hand side of the road.
From Galway:
Take the dual carriageway N6 out of Galway and follow directions for Dublin, past Oranmore to 2nd roundabout past Quality Hotel. Take N6 for Dublin, 1st exit, travel for 4km / 2.5 miles. Turn left on R348 for Athenry. Travel for 1.6km/1 mile, cottage is on left hand side of road.
From the east:
Stay on N6 until approx. 5 km /3miles past Craughwell. At junction for R348 for Athenry turn right. Travel for 1.6km/1 mile, cottage is on left hand side of road.
From the south:
On N18 from Limerick, take 3rd exit, N6 for Dublin, on 1st roundabout, 6km /4 miles past Clarinbridge, travel for 5km.
Turn left on R348 for Athenry. Travel for 1.6km/1 mile, cottage is on left hand side of road.
From the north:
On N17 take left turn at church in Claregalway onto N18. Travel for 10 km/ 6 miles to roundabout at Quality Hotel.
Take 1st exit on N6 for Dublin, at next roundabout takes N6 for Dublin, 1st exit, travel for 4km/2.5miles. Turn left on R348 for Athenry. Travel for 1.6km/1 mile, cottage is on left hand side of road.
Rooms
There are 3 cosy and nicely decorated bedrooms in this cottage which can sleep up to 6 people. Downstairs is a twin bedroom with 2 single beds next to a bathroom.
Upstairs are a further 2 double bedrooms and family bathroom.
Bed linen and towels are provided for free.
Oil central heating and electricity are metered.
Facilities
Located downstairs is an entrance hall, cosy rustic living room with wood burning stove, TV, DVD and radio, fully fitted kitchen with all modern conveniences, separate dining room and toilet.
Upstairs consists of mezzanine area overlooking the dining room as well as the family bathroom.
Outside the cottage is a large secure garden, ideal for sitting an admiring the stunning view which surround the property.

Palmerstown cottage is in a beautiful rural location. The coast lines of Clare and Galway are only a short drive away for those fantastic panoramic views of the clear blue sea and surrounding area.
Kick start your holiday by enjoying a picnic in Rinville Park which offers some beautiful views of Galway Bay.

The property is just 12km from Galway city, known as the City of the Tribes, here you can enjoy see the fascinating range of shops and linger in some beautiful art galleries, visit some of the cities many pubs, cafes and bars, soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the city.
While in Galway a must for any visitor is a visit to the Aran Islands, one of the few areas of Ireland where Irish is still spoken as the main language.
In the cool of the evening, enjoy the atmosphere in one of Oranmore’s traditional Irish pubs and soak up the warmth of the people.
