mountbellew mill

An old flour mill beside the lake at Mountbellew located on the back road to the forest, over which a duel was fought between a member of the Bellew family and the Darcy family who were landlords in Mountbellew and New Forest. An inscribed plaque on this mill wall tells of the marriages of Dillons, Gratten Belows and Hores.
