Kinvara is known as "The Head of the Sea"and is the gateway to the Burren in County Clare. Kinvara is County Galway's only prominent sea village which is located on the southern shores of Galway Bay. There are many traditional Irish pubs in the village and all are unique in their own respect. The village of Kinvara is known both nationally and internationally for its music. Kinvara celebrates its culture each year when it holds two festivals, Cruinniu na mBad which is held in August each year and Fleadh na gCuach which is held on the May Bank Holiday.

the hotel was in a beautiful location, could not fault the hotel in general, breakfast very slow and not over plentiful found the staff slightly impersonal although very polite not the traditional irish welcome but would not hesitate to visit again as the food at the pier head down by the quay was fantastic.

The Quilty Restaurant
Treat yourself and sample some of the finest dishes, which are lovingly prepared using only the freshest of ingredients and are elegantly presented.
Service is both charming and helpful and you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere within the restaurant. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with paintings from the artist Joseph Quilty, the paintings are full of light, colour and imagination.
