Mellottes Family run B&B is situated in Corr na mona village on the Dooghty River which links to the beautiful Lough Corrib.  Lough Corrib is an anglers dream, and fished primarily for wild brown trout. However one can also fish for Pike, Perch and Salmon. Corr na mona is an ideal base for touring Connemara. Westport, Clifden and Galway city are all within an hours’ drive.

Cong and Ashford Castle are 15 minutes away. Hill Walkers, cyclists Artists and nature enthusiasts will marvel at the magnificent countryside, with wonderful view around each corner. Golfers have a short journey to avail of their hobby at either Cong, Ballinrobe, Westport  or Ballyconneely. There is aEquestrian centre in Cong. Recently an old road (Sean Bother) has been resurfaced and reopened. This road links Corr na mona to The nearby village of Clonbur. This Walk, Run or Cycle is a most aw inspiring journey. Almost all of Lough Corrib can be viewed from the top and you will also see Mount Gable.

N84 to Headford, R334 to Cross, R345 through Cong and Clonbur to Cornamóna.

N59 through Moycullen, Rosscahill and Oughterard to Maam Cross, R336 to Maam, R345 to Cornamona.

From DUBLIN (4 hours)
N6 to Galway, then take route as above.

From SHANNON/LIMERICK (2 hours)
N18 to Galway, then take route as above.
