Coming from Dublin on New Motorway (M6) Take the 1st Exit at the Coolagh Roundabout in the direction of Galway City EAST (R338)
At the Martin roundabout take the 3rd Exit in the direction of Galway city EAST (R338)
**At the Skerritt roundabout take the 2nd Exit in the direction of Clifden.
At the next junction take the 1st Exit on to R336 in the direction of City.
Follow signs for Salthill via Coast road (still R336) for 2 kms.approx.
At the D'arcy roundabout, take the 1st Exit
Drive along promenade with the ocean on your left.
Take 1st turn right after the Salthill hotel on to Threadneedle Road (R338)
We are 4th house on your right up from the ocean.
Bus Number 1 from city Center to Salthill.
Directions from Limerick/Shannon
At Oranmore roundabout, take the 2nd Exit in the direction of Galway.
At the Carrowmoneash Roundabout take the 2nd Exit in the direction of Clifden (N59)
At the Martin Roundabout, take the 1st Exit in the direction of Galway city EAST (R338)
From here on, directions are the same as from Dublin ** see above.
Local Area
Marless is ideally situated in a quiet residential area of Salthill, just steps from the beach and Salthill promenade, and is conveniently located to restaurants and pubs. Galway city is just 2 kms away with frequent bus service. Bus stop is just round the corner. Galway city offers many restaurants, pubs, music, theatres, cinema, art galleries and a newly opened museum.
For guests who do not have their own transport, or who want a day free from driving, there are daily coach tours to (1) Connemara, (2) The Aran Islands, (3) The Burren and Cliffs of Moher, (4) Cong and Maam Valley. Mary will advise you on such trips and arrange free collection to and from Marless House.
There are walking tours of Galway city and also an open top bus visiting the city and surrounding area.
Swimming, (both indoor and outdoor), golf, tennis and horse riding are all close-by.
Within easy reach and fine salmon and trout fishing and sea angling.
