You will receive a warm and friendly welcome when you arrive at this family run B&B. It is situated in a superb rural setting, just off the N18, close to the picturesque town of Clarinbridge in County Galway and just a 15 minute drive from Galway city. It is also just a 1 hour drive from Shannon Airport and 15 minutes drive from Galway Airport. Free WiFi for laptops throughout the house. Here you will experience the best of B&B accommodation, as this property is long established in the business, and has won many awards such as Merit Award from Fáilte Ireland. If you are looking for a coeliac friendly (gluten-free) BnB in Galway, Karaun House should be your choice, as Teresa is coeliac and knows all about a gluten free diet.
When you stay at Karaun House B&B, you can spend your days enjoying a range of outdoor activities including horse riding, hill walking, fishing or golfing. You will also be just a 5 minute walk to the sea at the beautiful Galway Bay. Take a scenic drive through the countryside and discover top attractions like the Cliffs of Moher, Coole Park and the Burren which are just a short trip from the house. Enjoy a pleasant stroll down a nearby country lane to Moran's Oyster Cottage, very popular with locals and visitors alike. At night, head to Clarinbridge, a town renowned for its annual Oyster Festival, which has lots of excellent restaurants that specialise in seafood and local produce. Afterwards, relax with a drink in one of the local pubs where you can mingle with the locals.

Karaun House has three pleasant guestrooms. You can choose from a standard double, a twin room ensuite or an ensuite room with a double and single bed. For added comfort, rooms are equipped with orthopaedic beds, electric blankets, tea making facilities and a hair dryer. After a peaceful nights sleep, wake up to a delicious home cooked Irish breakfast. (Vegetarian and gluten free breakfast also provided) Home Baking. Free wireless broadband is available. Outside, there is a beautiful garden for guests where you can watch the sunset or just listen to the birds singing in this peaceful setting and there is ample off street parking for guests.

Theresa and Dennis could not have made us more welcome. From our first meeting we were treated like one of the family, with nothing being too much trouble. Their local knowledge, especially of places to eat in the evenings was always spot on and the breakfasts - well they well just what home cooking is all about. We look forward to a return trip, and this is one B&B we would not miss out.
