You will receive a warm and friendly welcome when you arrive at this family run bed and breakfast. It is situated in a superb rural setting, just off the N18, close to the picturesque town of Clarinbridge in County Galway in the west of Ireland.  We are just a 15 minute drive from Galway city. It is also just a 1 hour drive from Shannon Airport and 15 minutes drive from Galway Airport. Free WiFi for laptops throughout the house. Here you will experience the best of B&B accommodation, as this property is long established in the business, and has won many awards such as Merit Award from Fáilte Ireland. If you are looking for a coeliac friendly (gluten-free) bed and brekfast in Galway, Karaun House should be your choice, as Teresa is coeliac and knows all about a gluten free diet and will take into account any dietary requirements.
When you stay at Karaun House B&B, you can spend your days enjoying a range of outdoor activities including horse riding, hill walking, fishing or golfing. You will also be just a 5 minute walk to the sea at the beautiful Galway Bay. Take a scenic drive through the countryside and discover top attractions like the Cliffs of Moher, Coole Park and the Burren which are just a short trip from the house. You can walk to Clarinbridge, 1k away, where you can enjoy our lovely tearooms or local pubs, we also have a lovely antique store, garden centre and now a beautiful home store

.Visit our Village Green where years ago farmers held a market there weekly,to sell their produce,we now run a Market Day there every September a great family day out.

Visit our Roman Catholic Parish Church  (75 years old  )  Mass daily

We are 5 mins away from the sea.

We have some lovely nature trails and wooded areas to relax and walk, jog or just take some time out, to smell the roses!!!

We have a world famous seafood pub also within walking distance, and several pubs in the village with music some nights.

We have a bus service to and from the city every hour daily.

Guests are welcome to sit in our garden and unwind after their day, and plan the next days sight seeing, or sit in the lounge and look at the various brochures.

Some evenings, if the weather is nice, guests like to walk to the sea (5 mins walk) and watch the sunset. (Makes a nice picture).

Karaun House has three pleasant guestrooms. You can choose from a standard double, a twin room ensuite or an ensuite room with a double and single bed. For added comfort, rooms are equipped with orthopaedic beds, electric blankets, tea making facilities and a hair dryer. After a peaceful nights sleep, wake up to a delicious home cooked Irish breakfast.(Vegetarian and gluten free breakfast also provided). Karaun House is now a great stop for people with coeliac and want a gluten free diet. People are now choosing Karaun house as a coeliac friendly bed and breakfast in Galway, Ireland. Teresa the owner  knows all about gluten free food to offer her guests, who now come to stay from all over the world. All the coeliac food on offer is home baked and home cooked In addition to our normal menu, Coeliac friendly (gluten free) menu available for breakfast, also vegetarians options available. 

Free wireless broadband is available. Outside, there is a beautiful garden for guests where you can watch the sunset or just listen to the birds singing in this peaceful setting and there is ample off street parking for guests.

We have world famous seafood pubs within walking distance and some pubs have Irish music on certain nights.

THE DINING ROOM has a great view of the garden ,so you can enjoy the flowers and watch the birds while you enjoy a good breakfast.There is always background music to create a peaceful and relaxing setting.

The twin room en-suite, it includes tea/coffee facilities and is en-suite. It also has a hair dryer and electric blanket. Free WiFi. It is a very quiet cozy room. A nice view of the garden. 

The cozy double room has its own private bathroom just outside the room with a bathtub to relax in. It has an electric blanket and tea/coffee facilities, free WiFi and hair dryer. View of the main gardens.

The triple room has a double and single bed which can be for 3 persons or a double or twin. It is a very large room with nice bathroom, hair dryer, electric blankets, t.v , free WiFi and tea making facilities. This large room has two windows to give you great views of the countryside and gardens.

We reached Karaun House to half of our trip to Ireland. We had been to several B & B and then stayed in several others, and certainly Karaun House and Teresa, the owner, were the best of our trip. The location, in a residential area of Clarinbridge, a small town near Galway is good. In 20-25 minutes drive you reach Galway. Also excellent for various excursions including the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, the Burren ... The scenery is spectacular and diverse, each trip was different from the previous one. The house is very large, the reception of Teresa made ​​us feel at home, and in the days we stayed at his house we get a lot of love. He cared for us, helped in planning the route, trying to integrate the different guests at breakfast ... The room we stayed in was very neat, with all the details to make you feel at home. Spotless and spacious, bright and full bathroom. At the end of our stay we were sorry to say goodbye to Teresa and her husband

Karaun House has a very good  selection on the regular breakfast menu,  Full Irish Breakfast and many more options,we try to serve for each individual taste, we have an extensive menu, and needless to say every thing is home cooked especially all our breads are home baked.

We also have a gluten free menu, as this is a coeliac friendly home. We serve a full traditional Irish Breakfast, with gluten free sausages and pudding, and of course gluten free home made breads.

We have a beautiful garden and also just a short walk to the sea.

We have a visitors lounge with T.V.

Visitors are wecome to sit and relax in our garden.
