Enjoy the therapeutic scenery from this cottage, with rolling green hills all the different shades of green.
Island View is in a great location for those of you who want to escape the fast pace of life. Situated near the "Quiet Man" bridge, with fishing and golf all located nearby. The newly opend Golden Mile walk is nearby where you will find outstanding views of the Connemara mountains and lake.
Directions to island view
By Car
From Galway City head West on N57. Drive through Moycullen Village and on to Oughterard. As you drive into Oughterard with the ESSO filling station on your left, drive approx 7 km, turn left the the sign for ‘Quiet Man Bridge’. At the bridge turn right, continue for 2 km, Island View is on your right.
Rooms
There are three bedrooms in this bungalow, each one newly decorated to a high standard with bedside lockers and lamps to make you feel relaxed and at home. Two of the bedrooms are doubles and the third is a twin with 2 single beds.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
The bathrooms of the property has a bath and electric shower. Electricity is extra. Oil fired central heating is included in your rate.
Facilities
The kitchen is fully fitted, light bright and airy with stunning views over Lough Boofin. Kitchen facilities include electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The sitting room has an open fire, SKY TV and DVD player.
Outside there is a beautiful enclosed garden which leads down to the lake, garden furniture is provided.

A bit draw to this area it the fishing and with the lake only 50 meters from the cottage, this truly is a fishermans paradise.
Oughterard is the nearest town to the cottage, here you will find a good selection of pubs, bars and restaurants. Also there a quiet a few craft shops and supermarkets. Or if you’re looking for peace and tranquility why not visit St. Brigids Garden, only 12 km for the cottage, this is a beautiful historical park with it’s own coffee shop.
