The grounds around the homes are well maintained and parking is also provided. Unfortunately the holiday rentals cannot cater for household pets, only guide dogs are welcome.
Gleann na Ri is situated along the gateway to the west with the vibrant and exciting Galway City just a stones throw away. Visit the 16th Century Thoor Ballyee Castle, which was the home of the famous WB Yeats in the 1920’s - some of his work is on exhibition in the small homestead adjoining the tower. You’ll not be short of great angling spots here as you can cast your line out and catch anything from salmon to blue shark off the coast of Galway.
On your way back to the holiday rentals, why don’t you take a detour into the city for a bite of food in the quaint cafes and great restaurants that suit any taste and budget?
