The Old Post Office Cottage
is an enchanting
3 star
self catering cottage located on a small working farm only 5 minutes from Portumna town, County Galway. The traditional cottage is 300 years old and is the former national winner of Agritourism 1988.
This self catering property is family friendly with a babysitting service available and consists of two beautiful bedrooms, a shower room, living room with a solid fuel stove and fully furnished kitchen.
The cottage is set in a stunning location by the shores of Lough Derg with the beautiful forest park at its door step. You can choose a different activity to do each day when staying at Cummins Old Post Office.

Directions to cummins
Travel on the R355 road out of Portumna for 8km until you come to Balllycrissance sign posted. Take a right tthis sign for Cummins Cottage. Pass Mahon's Shop , take a right at the sign next sign for Cummins Cotage. The property is 100 meters from here.
Rooms
There 2 two bedrooms in the cottage, the master bedroom is beautifully furnished with a brass double bed, elegant furniture and hand basin. The second bedroom has 2 single beds.
Both rooms are near to the bathroom with shower.
Bed linen is provided free of charge. Towels are available at an extra cost.
Facilities
The living room has a rustic inviting feel with a solid fuel stove, old style dresser, liscannon stone floor, comfortable furniture and T.V. The kitchen is furnished with all mod cons such as microwave, fridge, cooker and toaster.
For added convenience there is a laundrette on the grounds. There is also a BBQ area and parking.

Old Post Office Cottage is in an ideal location for touring Clonmacnoise and Birr Castle. Why not travel to The Burren or visit the historic castles of the area?
Another touring option is the Lough Derg Drive or if you would prefer a more action packed holiday angling, golf, bog trail, go-karting and horse riding are all nearby. Also walking by River Shannon with it’s abundance of wildlife is a great way to pass time.
