Location Details clifden

Clifden is the principal town in Connemara and the largest town west of Galway city.
Clifden is the ideal holiday destination as it provides the perfect base for exploring the glorious scenery of the region.
The town nestles on the periphery of the Atlantic with a splendid backdrop of mountains.
Located 2km from the town you will find the beach. Here there is boating, riding, game and sea fishing available.
About 13km from Clifden there is the championship Connemara Golf Links.
This colourful and picturesque town has its fair share of gourmet restaurants, tea and coffee shops, boutiques, craft and gift shops and of course, some very lively traditional Irish pubs.
Clifden is the main centre of Connemara pony breeding and the annual Connemara Pony Show is held here every August.
