Galway is an exiting city, which is full of culture and heritage. The capital of Connacht is a thriving and expanding city with a rich past dating from medieval times. Galway city also plays host to the Galway Races and Galway Arts Festival in July.

Venturing outside the City will open up an even wider selection of attractions and amenities. If it's leisure activities you're in to, take a bus to the sea resort Salthill, or golf, horse riding in the greater Connemara region. Take your own car or use public transport to vist attractions such as the infamous Aran Islands, Leenane Cultural Centre, Connemara National Park,The Burren, Cliff of Moher, Children's Discovery Museum or the stunning grounds of Kylemore Abbey & Visitor Centre.

Exploring Galway’s countryside
