As the Sillees River meanders its way towards Lower Lough Erne it passes through Ross Lough, settled in a hollow amongst drumlins. Ross Lough has a swamp and fen shoreline typical of County Fermanagh. These lough lie in a very scenic mountain and forest area to the south of Lower Lough Erne. They are approached from Enniskillen by taking the A36 and B81 through Derrygonnelly and following the signposts for a scenic drive. Coming from Belleek,follow the forest drive signs.
