This is a large limestone lough 4 miles south of Enniskillen on the A509 Belturbet road, a little south of Ballanaleck village. It has been cleared of coarse fish and is stocked with brown and rainbow trout-some of which grow very big indeed. It has given some really excellent fishing in recent years. As the Sillees River meanders its way towards Lower Lough Erne it passes through Ross Lough, settled in a hollow amongst drumlins.
