These lough lie in a very scenic mountain and forest area to the south of Lower Lough Erne. They are approached from Enniskillen by taking the A36 and B81 through Derrygonnelly and following the signposts for a scenic drive. Coming from Belleek, follow the forest drive signs. These three loughs are all to the north west of the one way scenic drive. There is a charge for using the forest drive. These are three good loughs with plenty of trout averaging 1lb with wild brown trout going to at least half and a half lb-not taking into account the rainbows that are somtimes stocked into taking into accound the rainbows that are sometimes stocked into Glencreawan. This is limestone terrain and the well made trout and prolific fly hatches bear witmess to this fact. Chironomids, olives and sedges abound and the trout are on the feed here from March. Meenameen has even a mayfly hatch. The season is from 1 March to 30 September. The size limit is 10 inches and there is a 4 trout bag limit. Anglers may put a boat on any of these waters.
Achork is 10 acres, Glencreawan is 47 acres and meenameen, 46 acres. Permission required.
