Located on Donabate’s sandy beach, only 10 minutes from Dublin Airport and 20 minutes from the city centre by car or train. The hotel has 35 rooms, some overlooking Lambay Island, Howth Head and Ireland’s Eye, you will not wish for a nicer location. Coming from the Dublin City Take N1 towards Dublin Airport. Pass the airport exit on the M1 (motorway). Take exit after Swords sign posted for Donabate or Skerries. Follow signs to Donabate. Enter village but take right turn before church. The Waterside Hotel Dublin is located 1.5 miles from village at the beach. Coming from Belfast Take M1 towards Dublin. After Balbriggon exit watch out for Donabate. Follow signs as above. Coming from the west Follow road for M50 (northbound) - M1 - Donabate.

Walk the 4 miles of stunning cliff walks - starting point Waterside House Hotel Dublin as far as Portrane (next village) and stop off at wonderful Donabate Village where there is a great variety of bars and restaurants. Otherwise hop on train in the village and discover Dublin for yourself.

The hotel staff was so helpful. Edele was so accommodating and friendly when we first arrived. The beach was beautiful and our room was very comfortable (although it would have been nice to get the view of the water).
