Location: The carpark is on the Strand road, north of Sandymount tower. Bus 3 from city centre.
Distance: 3km/2 miles.
Starting point: A flight of steps at the northern end of the carpark down to the strand.
Route: From the steps you walk in a straight line towards the chimneys of Poolbeg station. There is a runnel which begins at a freshwater stream near Sandymount tower. Follow the runnel to the edge of the tide. Th...
