Artists’ statement.
 
“Inert”, without the power to move, to resist motion, lifeless.
The settings within my paintings derive from rural environments that border town-land, river and sea. Within these confines I am drawn to solitary subjects that seem long detached from social function. In my current work it has become intrinsic to observe both from life and memory.
