Teachers take a keen interest in students' progress, which is also regularly monitored by the Director of Studies. Teachers also participate in training seminars and attend regular meetings to discuss course content.

Most of ther teachers have lived and worked as teachers abroad and have first-hand knowledge of other cultures, customs and traditions.

The accommodation officer and team are always on hand to answer any questions students might have regarding any aspect of their accommodation. Summer Courses
Holiday courses at the Emerald Cultural Institute are lively and friendly, combining expert English language tuition with a daily programme of extra-curricular activities.

Courses are designed to meet the needs and interests of the participants and their different centres allow them to provide the best learning environment for each learner. They have a junior programme for children and teenagers and a senior programme for adults. They also have a programme for university students which is designed to suit their specific needs. For parents who wish to bring babies and small children to Dublin, the Emerald Cultural Institute organises a baby-sitting service. Their centres are within easy reach of the city centre and are modern and fully equipped with sports facilities.

On arrival students are given an oral and written test and are then placed in a class appropriate for their level. There are classes each morning at all levels, from beginner to advanced, given by highly qualified and experienced teachers.

The student's progress is constantly monitored by the teachers and the Director of Studies. All the students are provided with text books which they can take home at the end of their course.

Courses cover the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and are especially programmed to lead students to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.

The average number of students per class is 12 and the maximum permitted is 15.
