Directions

Off the new M1 from the north or south exit at Lissenhall Interchange in Skerries, take the old N1 towards Balbriggan. Take a right at Blakes Cross into Lusk and onto Skerries.
It’s also on the main Dublin to Belfast train line and only 20 minutes from Dublin Airport.

Within Walking Distance

Skerries is the perfect place to walk barefoot along the beautiful sandy beach and watch the fishermen bringing home their catch of Dublin Bay prawns, mussels and salmon. Folklore says that Saint Patrick crossed Skerries Harbour in low tide on his way to Ulster - hence we now have an island named Inis Patrick.

Found this by accident as we wanted something near Dublin Airport but not at the airport nor a huge car park of a place. Very impressive room, nicely appointed and friendly welcome, even if there is no reception per se. Elected to dine in the restaurant and so very glad we did. The name Terry MCoy, TV chef meant nothing to me, but the food was superb. I regularly dine in some of Londons finest retaurants and the food was as good as anywhere you might choose to mention. It was simply excellent. All of it. I would go back like a shot and starve myself for the all in dinner bed and breakfast option with a four course dinner. Quite simply a gem and we were sorry we were only there the one night. Gushing aside, there are a few cosmetic things the place needs to look at, such as there was some water damage in our bathroom from some time ago (a leak from above), a few tiles missing behind the radiator in the bathroom and the courtyard needs a good tidy, weed, etc. However, that shouldnt put anyone off what is a great little establishment.

Skerries is a lovely place to visit if you want a seaside break - fantastic seafood in the town - great place to relax and the locals are friendly. At Redbank House Anita and Timmi were great - a real credit to the business - nothing was too much trouble.

Facilities (Back to top)

The great thing about this property is that the owners also own and operate the Red Bank Restaurant adjacent. After a superb night dining with great company, enjoying a casual drink in elegant surroundings all you have to do is walk a few steps back to your stylish and comfortable room at the guesthouse.
The restaurant has gone from strength to strength since it’s opening in 1983. People come from far and wide to enjoy the cuisine and it is not unusual that it holds a reputation as one of the best establishments for contemporary Irish cuisine.
