Skerries is the perfect place to walk barefoot along the beautiful sandy beach and watch the fishermen bringing home their catch of Dublin Bay prawns, mussels and salmon. Folklore says that Saint Patrick crossed Skerries Harbour in low tide on his way to Ulster - hence we now have an island named Inis Patrick.
