The Abbey is the worlds first National Theatre, founded by Yeats and Lady Gregory. The repertoire specialises in new Irish writing as well as productions of classical and contemporary Irish and International texts.

The Peacock is the studio theatre of the National Theatre, specialising in new writing and experimenting with new forms of theatrical language. Performances are at 20.15 p.m. nightly with Saturday matinees.
