Juggy's Well, whch takes its name from an old well behind the Old Monkstown Hospital, was an old private dwelling knocked to a shell. The basement was raised, first floor taken out and a timber staircase inserted. The self-service counter is almost an intrusion into an otherwise very homely setting of pale sunlight-yellow walls and black and white tiling which also suggest absolute spotlessness.

The stairwell and second floor are carpeted to create a different effect. Everything on the menu including soups, quiches, lasagne, curried chicken - is cooked on the premises by Nell Fitzgerald and family who offer value for money in comfortable no nonsense surroundings.
