Established 1905 Situated in the midst of pleasantly wooded lands that slope gently towards a four-mile river valley of great charm, the Hermitage course is the least artificial of the golf courses around Dublin, but it is only a twenty-minute drive from the city. A new clubhouse was built in 1969, which has been compared with the Eldorado Club in Palm Springs - a 'Millionaire's Paradise'.

The club has hosted many major competitions in which such notable stars as Doug Sanders, Severiano Ballesteros, Bob Charles and Christy O'Connor Jnr have been impressed by the quality of the course.
