Dublin School of English was founded in 1968 and is one of the leading English Language Schools in Britain and Ireland. It is recognised by the Irish Department of Education for the teaching of English as a Foreign Language.

Description
English tuition is given by trained tutors experienced in Teaching English as a Foreign language (TEFL). Most of their tutors have several years experience teaching abroad. Video and taped material is widely used during class. Use of Audio comparative listening centre for private study. Textbooks for all courses are included.

Standard courses the average number of students per group is 12 persons (with a maximum of 15 persons). On the other courses numbers in a group vary according to the course selected, groups of two, three, four or eight persons are available. They also have a wide range of Individual Courses where tuition is on a one-to-one basis.

Situated in the centre of Dublin in Westmoreland Street (beside Trinity College, Dublin University), the school is ideally located for exploring Dublin's cultural and social life.

During the summer months other locations are used both in the city centre and in modern colleges in the suburbs.

All standard courses consist of tuition in groups of maximum 15 persons. The average number in a group is 12 persons. Classes are graded into 5 different levels. Progress is monitored throughout the course so movement between levels is possible.

Course Code AY24

This course consists of 24 lessons per week. During the tuition there is a break of 25 minutes. Included in the price of this course are - Registration fee, tuition in English, Textbooks and Material for the course, Freetime Programme.

Course Code AY30

Classes on this course are as on the Course AY24 with the addition of 6 extra classes taken on 2 afternoons per week making a total of 30 lessons per week.

Extension weeks (after 4th week) may be booked on the AY24 Course at addition cost per week. On the AY30 Course extension weeks (after 4th week) may be booked at additional cost per week.

On all courses described here students can prepare for the Cambridge and Pitman Examinations. Dates of these examinations are available on request.
