Described as 'the British Jacques Loussier', David Rees-Williams formed his trio in 1988. Featuring David Rees-Williams on piano, Phil Laslett on drums and Neil Francis on bass guitar, this remarkable Trio brings a unique freshness to classical repertoire through improvisation and superb musicianship. With mesmerising jazz interpretations of baroque, jazz and popular classics, the stunning David Rees-Williams Trio specialises in music that unites the best of classical and jazz. Its programme includes music that spans from the era of Buxtehude to 20th century jazz standards.

The Trio, which has released a series of successful albums, features regularly on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM and has been widely and unanimously acclaimed as one of the outstanding groups in its genre – exceptional playing but also an extraordinary contemporary take on classic compositions.
