Douglas Food Co shop has always been the swishest and most stylish of the Dublin traiteurs, the one whose cooking is the most personal and innovative. Their list of dishes is, happily, not a compendium of everything that can be cooked, but rather a choice selection which plays to their strengths: braised oxtail with spring vegetables; Thai-spiced chicken stir-fry with noodles; boxty; marinated squid Portuguese. They are happy to discuss menu ideas for parties and gatherings, and the shop also sells a small selection of fine packets, oils and cheeses.
