We were pleasantly surprised by our accommodation at the Caulfields as we had booked it with no idea of what to expect, simply because it was extremely cheap. Our room was perfectly adequate with a bed each, a hot shower and clean bedding and towels. We arrrive late on a Friday night and the concierge and staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating - we were given a bar tab (as we had not had time to collect Euros) and the balance of our hotel bill was waived until the following day. Nothing was too much for them, we asked and were provided with hairdryers, extra towels, cups, glasses etc. We had two kettles in the room which was handy too so take tea/coffee with you etc. The locals in the pub downstairs were friendly and pleasant resulting in us not going to bed until 2.30am on the first night when our intention had been midnight! The fact is, this is is basic accommodation - think slightly shabby around the edges and you get an idea BUT, for £10 a night each and just a short walk from the city centre and id say it was an absolute find and we would all happily stay here again for a weekend.
