By Train If you are arriving travelling from the North you will arrive at Connolly Station. This is approx a 15-minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi. Once out of Connolly Station cross over at the traffic lights & head up Talbot Street, at the end of the road you will see the spire which is situated on O’Connell Street. Once on O’Connell Street head north away from the river towards Parnell Square, once on Parnell Square you will see the Findlater church on you left, at the cross roads turn right & you will see The Castle Hotel Dublin on your left. By Air Once you have arrived at Dublin Airport you can either arrive to thepremises by taxi or bus. Most of the buses will drop off on O’Connell Street & we are a 2-minute walk from the bus stop. The buses to take from the airport are 747, Air coach, 16A or the 41C. By Ferry Once out of the ferry terminal drive onto East Wall Road, turn right on to North Wall Quay then turn left onto Talbot Memorial Bridge. Drive along the quays until you come to O’Connell Bridge. Drive up O’Connell Street & you will arrive at Parnell Square, drive around the square until you see the Writers Museum on you left hand side, stay in the left hand lane. Drive straight when you get to the crossroads & you will see the Castle Hotel Dublin on your left. By Car From the North: Approach along the N1, travel along Dorset Street, making a left at the Temple Pub onto Temple Street, continue straight until you meet traffic lights, turn right at the lights & continue straight, the Castle Hotel Dublin is on your right. From the West: Follow along the Liffey until you reach Ormond Quay/Bachelor’s Walk, turn left onto O’Connell Street, follow the length of the Street until you come to Parnell Square, turn right at each junction until you see the writers museum on your left hand side, at the cross roads drive straight & the Castle Hotel is on your left. From the South: Approach from N11 onto Lesson street, drive around St Stephens Green until you can turn left onto Dawson Street, turn right onto Nassau Street. Trinity College will be on your left, bear left at Lincoln Place, turn left on to Westland Row & then left onto Pearse Street. Turn right onto Westmoreland Street and cross O’Connell Street, follow the road around onto Parnell Square. Keep turning left at each junction on the square until you see the writer’s museum in you left. At the crossroads drive straight & the Castle Hotel is on your left.
The Castle Hotels, John Ensor Bar is named after the architect who designed it, It has a relaxed and cosy atmosphere and is intimate and comfortable with an open fire in the winter and hosts a live traditional Irish music Band every Friday Night.
The Castle Restaurant, Breakfast is include in all our room rates and is served each morning from 7.30am to 10am with a choice of hot foods from our menu, which includes full Irish breakfast and vegetarian breakfast. You can also choose from our cold buffet. (a continental breakfast is available before 7.30am if required.
Evening meals are served between 5.30pm to 9.30pm and you can choose from our a la care menu, Pre Theatre Menu or you can opt for something simple from our Bar Snack menu, a children’s menu is also available.
