Carrickmines Equestrian Centre is owned and run by the O’Leary family. This friendly and efficient centre has been built up by the family into one of the largest centres in Ireland. The centre is located in suburban Dublin only eight miles from the city centre yet it is located in a very picturesque setting offering magnificent views of Dublin Bay. The centre boasts some excellent facilities. The centre’s outdoor ménage is one of the largest all weather equestrian arenas in Ireland. This excellent floodlit sand arena is used for a wide range of activities from showjumping to polocrosse to dressage. There is also another floodlit outdoor arena at the centre 50m by 30m and an indoor arena 40m by 20m. With over 80 acres of farmland there is plenty of trekking available for all standards with a challenging cross- country course for the more advanced rider. The centre has a large livery yard and details in relation to livery are available on application. Carrickmines caters for all ages and levels from complete beginners up to competition level in showjumping, eventing, dressage and polocrosse. Lessons are held Tuesday – Sunday (see timetable). Private lessons may also be arranged by special appointment. Corporate groups are also catered for.
