barabbas theatre company

Barabbas the company was founded by Veronica Coburn, Raymond Keane and Mikel Murfi in 1993 and launched in a three-play festival in Project Arts Centre in 1994.

Barabbas, known for its company devised and scripted work, is dedicated to and has successfully created Irish theatre that is physical and dynamic; that started with its roots in the European continent but has gone on to explore distinctly Irish gesture, Irish aural and visual culture.

Since its beginnings Barabbas has produced theatre shows to great crutical and audience acclaim. These shows have appeared in Dublin, on National tours and in Northern Ireland, Wales, London, Denmark and France.

Barabbas televisiion series on TnaG, produced by Temple Films, received the 1997 Entertainment Award at the Celtic Film and Television Festival.
