Friday 22th August Sea Cruise Bangor Enjoy a short sea cruise taking in the splendid views of Belfast Lough and the North Down coastline but ensure to keep an eye out for the variety of bird life including native birds and seasonal migrants and perhaps even a seal or two playing in the waves along the way.
The cruise departs from Pickie Fun Park to Crawfordsburn and Belfast Lough on Friday 22nd August at 7pm. The Sea Cruise will last approx 1.5 to 2 hours aboard Rachlyn under the guidance of local skipper Brian Meharg. (Subject to favourable sea conditions).
Tickets Adults - £10, Concession - £5 (under 16, over 65, full time students) Family Ticket - £25 (2ad + 2ch). Please note tickets must be booked in advance and are available through Bangor Tourist Information Office and North Down Museum.

AUGUST Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th & Monday 25th August August Bank Holiday ‘Big Weekend’ Castle Park plays host once again to this year’s FREE summer concerts on the Bank Holiday weekend of the 23rd and 24th August. Curtis Stigers will perform on Saturday evening, 7-10pm. On Sunday afternoon, 3-5pm, the Frank and Ella Show will have you wrapped in jazz and swing from way back when. To complete the holiday weekend, on Monday there will be live street theatre for all the family at McKee Clock, Bangor Seafront, between 12-6pm.
SEPTEMBER Saturday 6th September Eagle Wing Celebration Groomsport Links between North America and Groomsport are brought to life with an afternoon of living history events and family fun.
OCTOBER Saturday 25th October Seapark Fireworks Holywood, Seapark Holywood is the setting for North Down’s Halloween celebrations with children’s funfair and stalls, food vendors and the annual spectacular fireworks display.
Sunday 26th October Spooktacular Family Fun Day Cockle Row Cottages, Groomsport Celebrate this Halloween with an afternoon of frightful ghoulish family fun in Groomsport. There will be something to scare all the family with creepy crafts, lucky dip, spooky baking and much more from 2-4pm.
NOVEMBER Saturday 22th November Bangor Christmas Lights Switch On Bangor Castle/ Town Hall Bangor’s Christmas celebrations begin with a night of family entertainment followed by the Christmas tree light switch on.
Saturday 29th November Holywood Christmas Lights Switch On Holywood, Redburn Square The festivities in Holywood start with family fun for all and the Christmas tree lights switch on.
DECEMBER Sunday 7th December Christmas Family Fun Day Cockle Row Cottages, Groomsport Santa will make an appearance at Cockle Row Cottages to top off an afternoon of family fun.
