The Maiden of Mourne is Warrenpoint's very own answer to the Rose of Tralee and it's much more than just a beauty pageant. Eligible maidens come from as far a field as the Netherlands, America, Portugal and of course much closer to home, to compete for the coveted title at this truly international festival. Now in its 18th year the Festival is a community festival with an international appeal. The Maiden of the Mournes contest attracts competitors from all over the world, with opening parade, musical entertainment, childrens events, fireworks and sports evening.
