With the 2008 FIM SPEA Trial World Championship fast approaching local rider Gareth Andrews and model Haley McDoanld today got in the mood for this Aprils Trials show piece event in Bangor. 
Bangor, Northern Ireland is hosting the 2008 FIM SPEA Trial World Championship on Sunday 6th April 2008 incorporating the FIM SPEA Trial European Championship on Saturday 5th April.  In conjunction with the Lightweight Motorcycle Club, North Down Borough Council will once again aim to deliver the jewel in the crown of this global series.

Gareth Andews is the only Irish rider to have completed in the championships previous Bangor rounds in 2003 and 2004 and will be hoping to put in a good display in front of his home town crowd once again.  He has already won the Ulster championship three times as well as taking the rummers up spot in the Irish series in both 2006 and 2007.  Andrews has twice won at the Trophy Des Nations team event as part of the Irish Team. 
FIM fans will have the chance to see a taster of this years action when twelve times World Champion Dougie Lampkin, who won in Bangor in both 2003 and 2004 will be joining in the Easter Monday fun on 23rd March in Bangor and showing off some of the spectacular skills that he hopes will gain him a magical 100th Grand Prix win come April.
