This lovely lough presents a splendid sight to travellers along the A1T from Newry to Banbridge. It also holds some fine trout. It is stocked annually with both brown and rainbow trout and each season produces some magnificent browns. The north and south ends should be avoided when wading but the rest is perfectly safe.
