Ballykeel Lough Erne

This is a natural lough lying 4 miles north west of Ballynahinch and 6 miles south east of Lisburn. It is south of the A49 and anglers must use the official entrance off the Lisburn- Ballynahinch road. Fishing stands have been provided on the west side and all the other banks are safe for wading. It is stocked with brown and rainbow trout and orthodox fly fishing only is allowed. There is a 4 trout bag limit and a 10 inch size limit and the season runs from 1 April to the 31 October. Hillsborough Lake

This lake of some 40 acres, situated in Hillsbourough Forest, is stocked with brown and rainbow trout. Hillsborough Forest is a country park offering a wide variety of activities in lovely surroundings.
The park is rich in wildlife and the scenic parkland is a favourite walking area. Fishing is only one of the interests catered for the anglers should be careful to observe the notices where fishing is prohibited.

Portavoe Reservoir
Donaghadee, Down
Portavoe, about 2 miles north of Donaghadee by the A2, covers some 30 acres. It holds a good stock of brown and rainbow tour and is very attractive place to fish. The season is from 1 March to 31 October and there is a 4 trout daily bag limit. Only orthodox fly fishing is permitted and not more than twenty rods are allowed on the water at any one time. The water level tends to drop sharply during the summer and this can have adverse effects on the fishing. Permission....

Banbridge, Down
The District is a paradise for the keen game angler, the main areas being located at Corbet Lough. Loughbrickland Lake and the entire Upper River Bann. There are also about ten other small lakes in the area, all of which are open for coarse fishing. Licences and permits can be obtained from James Coburn & Son Ltd, Scarva Street, Banbridge.
