Welcome Picture of Fort Dunree Military Museum
Fort Dunree, Buncrana, Inishowen, Donegal
Overlooking Lough Swilly, Fort Dunree is a military museum with special emphasis on coastal artillery and the military history of the North West. It has a large display of artefacts, an audio-visual display and large coastal artillery pieces in their original location.

There is a tea and coffee shop available to visitors.

Groups can visit the museum at any time of the year by prior arrangement....

Tory Island, Donegal

Franciscan Friary:
On the seashore south of the town are the scanty remains of a Franciscan Friary founded by the first Red Hugh O'Donnell and his wife Nuala O'Brien in 1474. Of the church only the chancel and a gable of the south transept remain. Better preserved are the remnants of the cloister arcade.
