Start to the left of the Cross Road Inn, past the Radio Station and continue up the hill where you will overlook White Strand Bay and Culoort Village. Continue on and you will come to Ireland’s most northerly point, marked off a road on the left. The view from here is worth the detour. Out to sea is Inishtrahull Island. Further out on a clear day the Scottish Isles can be seen, a path from here leading West will take you to Hell’s Hole, a tourist attraction. Back on the main road again and continue past Ballyhellion village, a road to the left goes to the raised beach. Straight on past Esky Bay and again on your left the Meteorological Station which is beside the old Coastguard Station. Just beyond this is the road leading to the pier. On past Slieveban Village where Ireland’s most northerly pub is situated. About ¼ km further on you will arrive back at the Cross Road Inn, your starting point.
