The Stranorlar Country House is run by Evelyn Campbell and her family. You are sure to receive a warm Irish welcome. The elegance of the Victorian house is breathtaking and is nicely complimented with its antique furniture. With private gardens and an ideal position near the Donegal highlands and coast the Stranorlar is the perfect place to get away from it all.

The Stranorlar Country House is easily found on the Letterkenny Road. Just take the first left after Kees to get onto the road, from which you take the first private houses gate and the House is at the top of the avenue.

The Stranorlar Country House has access to a range of local activities and interests in the form of the Ballybofey/Stranorlar golf club, Finn Farm trekking centre and Ballybofey game angling. There is also some high quality fashion and craft stores and the Ballybofey/Stranorlar town centre is the source of some diversions. The Cavancor Historic House and Craft Centre near Lifford is of particular interest as s the Seat of Power Visitor Centre.

Our stay at Stranorlar country house was perfect, from the amazing welcome to the wonderfully cozy room. Our room overlooked the front of the house, with mountains in the distance and the gardens all around. The room was furnished in wonderful antique furniture, with a four-post bed and amazingly hot shower. We traveled during the day, and the B&B is in a central location near Donegal town, Slieve League, and Letterkenny. Breakfast was so filling, with the full Irish included, plus juice, fresh fruit and cereal. It was a wonderful stay, and I would recommend to anyone!

We got a great welcome from Paddy and Evelyn, the house is in a great seting, and the breakfast is immense! Stranorlar/Ballybofey is a great base to explore the county as both the north and south of it is accessable from here. Would highly recommend this B&B!

This B&B is very comfortable. Paddy and his wife made us really welcome and were helpful in every way. The room was very well furnished and had everything we needed. It's also in a great location both for Donegal town and Londonderry.
