Sonas is an excellent bungalow style B&B, located on an acre of well kept gardens in the Carrigart area of County Donegal, looking out impressively on the beautiful Mulroy Bay.

It’s a modern and comfortable residence, and of course there’s the handsome garden area which you are free to roam and relax in. Each of the rooms at Sonas are en suite and come complete with a hair dryer, television and tea and coffee making facilities.

This family friendly guesthouse has a children’s playground and a babysitting service as well as any other facilities you could need. There’s a laundry service and private parking for guests.
The surrounding area of this B&B is legendary for it’s raggedly handsome landscapes and there’s an abundance of activities that you can enjoy. Head to the nearby sandy beach for a day in the sun, or on your walking boots and go for a hill walk. 

From Letterkenny
Take the R245 through Ramelton,Milford, Cranford. Five Kilometers(3 miles)North of Cranford you turn left at the petrol station and shop.

From the N56
Turn off the N56 just South of Creeslough towards Carrigart. Go through  the village of Carrigart and travel for 5 Kilometers (3miles)on the R245 towards Milford. Turn right at second petrol station and shop.

Ninety fantastic links holes are available,overlooking the beautiful Bays of Sheephaven, Mulroy and Swilly. Nestling in the rugged headlands we have Rosapenna GC, both the old Tom Morris and Sandy Hills courses, Dunfanaghy GC, Otway GC and Portsalon GC.

After a day of activity in the area, be it a walk on the beautiful golden sandy beaches, sea-angling, diving, boat trips, tennis, pitch and putt, cycling or bird watching, you can enjoy the cuisine and especially the delicious fresh seafood dishes available in the locality. 
You can relax , have a laugh or sing song  in real Irish traditional pubs, or be entertained by local traditional musicians. Explore the area. It has an ever changing variety of landscapes and seascapes and is a veritable artist’s paradise.

Apart from the aforementioned activities it has other attractions such as heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym in Downings, horse riding in Carrigart and Cranford and watersports in Downings. It is an excellent base for touring with Doe Castle, Ards Forest Park, the Workhouse in Dunfanaghy, Colmcille Heritage Centre, Derek Hill House Art Gallery, Gartan Outdoor Centre and the world renowned Glenveagh National Park within a 30 minute drive.
