lough akibbon

This lough lies to the west of the L82 about 2 miles north of Church Hill. It is set in a very scenic location and it has a reputation for restoring the confidence of disheartened anlgers. It holds a large stock of trout averaging 9 inches in length and weighing approximately 6oz. There aretwo small woods, one on the east and the other on the west bank;otherwise three quarters of the bank is fishable and a selection of small traditional flies will suffice. Permission
