The homes can be described as a comfortable and cosy retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
Throughout you time at Great Arch Cottages, you have numerous activities to choose from. Spend the day conversing with the locals in the village or just sun worship on Portsalon beach. As the day draws to an end, try the local cuisine at the friendly restaurants or enjoy a traditional music session over a pint at the local pub.
As well as weekly reservations beginning on Saturdays, Great Arch Cottages also accepts bookings starting any day of the week. Weekend & midweek bookings are also available for certain periods throughout the year – all this is bookable online!
Directions
Travel the Fanad Drive; continue on this road until you come to a T-junction with a pink house. Take a right turn and then another right turn. Take the second lane on the right hand side after a white house and red roof.
Rooms
These welcoming cottages comprise of three beautifully appointed bedrooms. The ground floor master bedroom has full en-suite facilities. Upstairs leads to more bedrooms as well as a separate bathroom and shower. The guestrooms in the homes have more than enough storage space.
Guests have the convenience of secure private parking at the property.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you would expect from home. Sit back and relax in front of an open fire after a day touring or watch the sun set across Lough Swilly in the serene garden.
This family friendly property even has a colour TV to keep the children entertained for a while. The beloved family pet is more than welcome to stay at Great Arch Cottages – after all, they’re part of the family too!

Portsalon Golf Club offers a great round of golf amidst some fantastic scenery. And a little exploration of the coast should see you spending the day on the golden sands of Portsalon Beach. As the evening draws in, why not try out the fantastic cuisine in the local restaurants or enjoy a relaxing drink in the friendly pubs in the village.
Within 10kms
Since Donegal is brimming with superb scenery, why not hop into your car and experience the Atlantic Drive scenic route. It’s most definitely one of Donegal's most renowned and popular drives. The road meanders around the spectacular Rosguill Peninsula with beautiful Downings at its backdrop. Don’t forget to stop for a picture at the ever-photographed Tra na Rosann.
As well as superb scenery, Donegal is also renowned for its great nightlife. There is a great selections of pubs, late might bars and nightclubs scattered throughout the towns in Donegal. Each of the establishments feature diverse music ranging from traditional to jazz to rock.
