From Donegal
Travel forward onto The Diamond, R267 and take a right sign posted Sligo N15. Keep to the left on the R267, sign posted Lifford, Letterkenny N15.When you come to the roundabout take the road sign posted Lifford on the N15. Drive on until you enter Stranorlar. Take a left hand turn onto Meeting House Street, signposted for Letterkenny – N13. At roundabout, continue to follow the signposts for Letterkenny, N14.
Once in Letterkenny, take the third exit off the roundabout in the direction of Ramelton. Continue on the R245 until you get to Ramelton. Once you get to a T-junction, take a left onto the R245 then take a right sign posted for Rathmullan. Keep to your left until you reach Rathmullan.
Fort Royal Hotel is approximately a quarter of a mile from Rathmullan.

Throughout your time in the beautiful village of Rathmullan, you are within easy access to a variety of challenging golf courses. Otway Golf Club is only 5 minutes from the hotel while Portsalon GC and Letterkenny GC are within a 30 minutes drive from your accommodation.
Enjoy a journey on horseback along one of Europe’s cleanest beaches. Dip your toes into the cool waters of the Atlantic or hop on your surfboard and enjoy the wild and boisterous waves. For a more laid back approach, sit back, chill out and enjoy the cloudless skies and warm rays with a family picnic on the beach. The sea and Lough Swilly are brimming with fresh fish and is a paradise for any fisherman to the area.

Take a trip a little further north to County Antrim where you can marvel at Mother Natures’ as you feast you eyes upon the unique Giants Causeway. On the other hand if you want to stay more local, then a scenic drive to Glenveagh National Park is a must!
