A native of Donegal, Marina graduated from the University of Ulster at Belfast in 1996 with a B.A. Hons. Degree in Fine Craft Design. Prior to that she completed a National Diploma in General Art and Design at the North West Institute of Further and Higher Education in Derry.
Horses have always played a major role in Marina's life whether it was on the racecourse during the 12 years she spent as a jockey or in the studio working as an equestrian artist. However, since graduating it has been her achievements on the artistic front that have brought her most success.

In her workshop at the family home in St. Johnston, Marina has worked on a number of commissions including a series of one-off pieces for the 1996 Balcas International Three Day Event at Enniskillen and a painting of the 1996 Grand National Winner "Rough Quest", commissioned by the horse's trainer, Mr. Terry Casey.

Both on canvas and in clay, Marina has brought a new and exciting approach to Equestrian Art. Each piece of sculpture is meticulously hand-crafted with skill and close attention to detail. Inspired by her knowledge and experience of horses Marina's pieces capture both character and movement, while at the same time retaining the traditional classical shape. The use of bright and unusual glazes also adds to the uniqueness and vibrancy of her work.

Marina can undertake individual orders for presentation gifts in addition to a comprehensive collection of designs to suit all tastes.
