Bunbeg House a charming friendly guesthouse situated in the village of Bunbeg, Co. Donegal.  Overlooking the harbour at the mouth of the clady river famous for its salmon fishing. 

This house was originally a corn mill way back the mid 19th Century and operated by the same family since opening its doors in the 1970’s.  There have been many renovations since then to its current comfortable modern and yet distinguished charm.

Relaxed homely atmosphere, fully licensed resident lounge with fresh home made cooking.  Ideal location to explore the  Gaeltacht  of Donegal.

Bunbeg house is well known and is one of the finest guesthouses in Donegal featured in many books, magazines, postcards, and calendars.

The whole Gweedore area is a Gaeltacht, so Irish is spoken here as a matter of course so maybe you could learn a few words (a cúpla fócail), the proprietors of Bunbeg House will be more than happy to help out.
Take the N56 from Letterkenny via Glenveagh or Dunfanaghy. Located in Bunbeg Village down on the harbour overlooking river.
Bedroom
The rooms are all en suite and come with a TV and a tea/coffee making facility. There are 4 family rooms in the house as well as 7 doubles and 3 twins.

If you're travelling with a toddler or infant there's a cot available and if you want to head out there is also a babysitting service.

The guesthouse has its own bar and restaurant. The restaurant has an a la carte menu and also has a children's menu. The house has its own private garden available for guest use and there is also plenty of private car parking so you don’t have to worry about your car being on the street.

The Clady river runs behind Bunbeg House and the Crolly river is not to far away.  Both provide excellent salmon and trout fishing. There is also lake fishing and sea angling available.

Also trips to the nearby Islands –Gola, Inishman, and Tory island, all leave from Bunbeg Harbour.   For the more daring there are rib boat rides.

Bunbeg has a wealth of activities including local Gweedore golf club, horse riding, tennis courts, leisure centre, gyms, hill walking mountain climbing on the famous Mt Errigal and muckish Mts, long sandy beaches, craft shops, traditional music, pubs and restaurants or just simply relaxing.

A visit to Glenveagh national park is a must, also Dunlewey centre, glebe gallery, Bloody forelands sunset, and the Islands, golf courses – portnoo, dunfanaghy and cruit Island golf clubs – deep sea diving, surfing and plenty more.
